Who is conducting this study?

 

The PROVID-LD study is led by Dr. Jean-Charles Pasquier, senior clinician researcher, and is sponsored by the Fonds de Recherche du Québec – Santé. This study is the result of a collaborative effort between the University of Sherbrooke and Laval University.

We have put together a multidisciplinary team of well-accomplished researchers, including: 

Researchers with expertise in microbiome, probiotics, virology, immunology and cellular biology, public health and the aging process

Clinicians with expertise in infectious diseases, pneumatology, intensive care, internal medicine, gastroenterology, cardiology and radiology

A study supervised by the ethics committee

This study is overseen by an independent Ethics Committee that monitors the study itself and ensures the safety of participants.

The PROVID-LD study has also been authorized by The Research Ethics Board of the CIUSSS de l’Estrie – CHUS and Health Canada.
